Mowat Construction Company put the last section of bridge stringer on the new Winthrop pedestrian bridge October 10. But that doesn't mean the job is done. Workers are adjusting the tension on the cables, a chore that takes several days. Then they will lay the concrete decking followed by another tedious and careful adjustment of the cable tension.
