I am poem #1
by Cory Diamond
I am a magical elephant who eats blue cheese
I wonder if there are more kinds of cheese I may like
I hear about a place where cheese grows on trees
I see a giant plate of Gouda on the desert horizon
I want to live in a giant ball of cheese
I am a magical elephant who eats blue cheese
I pretend that a cheese-maker is sitting beside me and we are having tea
I feel happy when the postman brings me my daily meal of cheese
I touch a plate of cheese with fine apple slices
I worry if my benefactor stops benefacting me
I cry if I receive a package of pepper jack or medium cheddar
I am a magical elephant who eats blue cheese
I understand that cheese is not perfect
I say that I should eat delicious cheese for the rest of my life
I dream that I have a rubber ducky made out of cheese
I try to understand why cheese is so incredibly amazing
I hope that cheese never dies
I am a magical elephant who eats blue cheese
