Fiber-optic Installation Overview
If you have signed up for fiber-optic service through our website service map, we will reach out when we are ready to schedule installation at your location. We will send a link giving you access to our Customer Onboarding Portal. When you have completed the onboarding process, we will schedule your fiber installation. This will involve more than one visit to your premises. The actual "lighting" date of your fiber service will be determined by the Methow Fiber network.
Once the fiber is brought to your location, Methownet, LLC technicians will install the Network Interface Device (NID) on the exterior of your home or business, typically near the electric meter. This device communicates with our fiber network to deliver your internet service. The technicians will wire Ethernet cables into your building and set up the primary router indoors. Equipment costs may vary depending on your location and grant funding availability.
Once your fiber-optic internet connection is activated we verify your connection is working properly. Our support team can assist you in setting up your Wi-Fi network, connecting devices, or troubleshooting your existing network. This service is billed at an hourly rate.
