Wireless Internet Troubleshooting

Internet Not Working

Ensure your external receiver is facing the access point with no obstructions in front of it. Check that it's plugged in and connected to your router inside the house. To reboot both the antenna and router, unplug the rectangular power supply with an LED from the back of your router. Wait for the LED to turn off, then plug it back in. After 5 minutes, try reconnecting to your wireless network.

Slow Internet Speeds

Obstructions such as trees or buildings between your antenna and the wireless access point may reduce your signal strength. Make sure your external receiver is pointed at the access point and nothing is directly in front of it. For wired connections, inspect your ethernet cables for damage. Use a network scanning app to see what devices are connected to your network.

No Internet in Certain Areas of My Home

Consider wired ethernet connections to expand your wireless internet signal to other areas of your home or property. Call us for a quote. You might also consider using a mesh Wi-Fi system to extend coverage in larger homes.

Can't Connect to the Internet After a Power Outage

After a power outage, ensure the receiver is powered on. You may need to reboot both the receiver and router by unplugging the rectangular block behind your router, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in.

Device Not Connecting to Wi-Fi

Check that you are using the correct Wi-Fi password. You can also try forgetting the network on your device and reconnecting.
